Indications:
N FENAC TS 5 ML Eye Drop is indicated for relief of inflammation and pain associated with cataract surgery, corneal injury, and postoperative ocular inflammation.
Pharmacology:
Contains Ketorolac Tromethamine, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thus decreasing inflammation and pain in the eye.
Dosage:
Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) every 6 to 8 hours or as directed by the physician.
Administration:
Wash hands before use. Tilt head back, pull lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and instill the drop without touching the eye or eyelid. Close eyes gently for 1-2 minutes after application.
Interaction:
Avoid concurrent use with other NSAID eye drops. Inform your doctor if using corticosteroid eye drops or other ocular medications.
Contraindications:
Not to be used in patients with hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any component of the formulation. Avoid use in active eye infections.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include temporary burning or stinging sensation, blurred vision, dry eyes, or allergic reactions like redness or itching.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor. Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding not well established.
Precautions & Warnings:

Do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy.

Avoid contamination of the dropper tip.

Discontinue if severe irritation occurs.

Use cautiously in patients with bleeding disorders or on anticoagulant therapy.
