Indications:
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve blood glucose control, especially when monotherapy is insufficient.
Pharmacology:
Empagliflozin inhibits the SGLT2 transporter in kidneys, reducing glucose reabsorption. Linagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances insulin secretion and suppresses glucagon release.
Dosage:
One tablet once daily, with or without food, as prescribed by a physician.
Administration:
Oral use; swallow tablet whole with water.
Interaction:
Possible interactions with insulin, other antidiabetics, and diuretics.
Contraindications:
Type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, hypersensitivity to active ingredients.
