Indications:
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) to improve urinary flow and reduce prostate gland size.
Pharmacology:
Tamsulosin: An alpha-1 adrenergic antagonist relaxing prostate and bladder neck muscles.
Dutasteride: A 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces dihydrotestosterone, shrinking the prostate.
Dosage:
One tablet daily, orally, or as prescribed by physician.
Administration:
Taken orally with water, preferably after a meal.
Interaction:
May interact with antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, and other alpha-blockers.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Tamsulosin, Dutasteride, or similar drugs; severe liver impairment.
Side Effects:
Dizziness, headache, erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Contraindicated in women, especially during pregnancy or lactation.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use cautiously in patients with liver problems; avoid handling crushed tablets by pregnant women.
