Indications:
Indicated for the relief of fever, headache, toothache, menstrual pain, muscular pain, and other mild to moderate pain conditions.
Pharmacology:
Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. Caffeine enhances the effectiveness of Paracetamol and acts as a mild central nervous system stimulant, providing added pain relief and reducing fatigue.
Dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Maximum 4 doses in 24 hours.
Children under 12 years: Not recommended.
Administration:
Oral administration with water, preferably after meals. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Interaction:
May interact with warfarin, other NSAIDs, or liver enzyme-inducing drugs. Avoid alcohol and other products containing Paracetamol.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol, Caffeine, or any component of the formulation. Severe hepatic impairment.
Side Effects:
Generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include nausea, rash, insomnia (due to caffeine), and liver toxicity with overdose or prolonged use.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Paracetamol is generally considered safe, but caffeine intake should be limited.
Precautions & Warnings:
Avoid prolonged use or overdose. Patients with liver or kidney disease should consult a physician before use. Not suitable for long-term use.
