Pharmacology:
Clonazepam enhances the effect of GABA neurotransmitter, producing calming and anticonvulsant effects.
Dosage:
Typically 2 mg daily in divided doses, adjusted according to patient response.
Administration:
Oral use, with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with CNS depressants, alcohol, other anticonvulsants, and some antidepressants.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines, severe respiratory insufficiency, acute narrow-angle glaucoma.
