Indications:
PROFENID 30 GM is indicated for the relief of pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with musculoskeletal disorders, including muscle strains, sprains, arthritis, and sports injuries. It can also be used to alleviate pain following soft tissue injuries.
Pharmacology:
PROFENID 30 GM contains Ketoprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Ketoprofen works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which are involved in the production of prostaglandins—chemicals that cause pain, inflammation, and swelling. By reducing these chemicals, Ketoprofen helps to alleviate pain and inflammation at the application site.
Dosage:

Apply a thin layer of PROFENID 30 GM to the affected area 2–3 times a day, or as directed by your doctor.

Gently massage the gel into the skin until it is absorbed.

Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds.
Administration:
Topical use only. Apply to clean, dry skin. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the gel.
Interaction:

Other NSAIDs: Concurrent use with other NSAIDs may increase the risk of side effects such as gastrointestinal issues or kidney problems.

Blood thinners (e.g., warfarin): Care should be taken when using PROFENID with anticoagulants due to the increased risk of bleeding.

Corticosteroids: Using corticosteroids and NSAIDs together may increase the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
Always inform your doctor of any other medications you are using, including over-the-counter and herbal products.
Contraindications:
