Indications:
ROZENON 5 MG is commonly prescribed to treat:
Anxiety disorders
Panic attacks
Insomnia (difficulty sleeping)
This medication is also used to promote relaxation in conditions where calming effects are necessary. It works by increasing the effect of GABA, a neurotransmitter that helps calm nerve activity in the brain.
Pharmacology:
ROZENON 5 MG contains Lorazepam, a medication from the benzodiazepine class. Lorazepam enhances the action of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a neurotransmitter that inhibits brain activity. By increasing GABA's effects, Lorazepam has a sedative and anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) effect. It helps to relax the nervous system, reducing anxiety, inducing sleep, and relaxing muscles. Lorazepam is also effective in managing panic attacks and anxiety-related conditions.
Dosage:
The usual adult dose is 5 mg once or twice daily, or as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
It is commonly taken before bedtime to treat insomnia.
For anxiety or panic disorders, your doctor may adjust the dose based on individual needs.
