Indications:
ROZENON 10 MG is primarily used for the treatment of:
Anxiety disorders
Panic attacks
Insomnia (difficulty sleeping)
This medication is also sometimes used for muscle relaxation or as a sedative to help manage other conditions that require calming effects. It enhances GABA activity in the brain, which helps induce a feeling of calm and relaxation.
Pharmacology:
ROZENON 10 MG contains Lorazepam, a medication belonging to the benzodiazepine class of drugs. Benzodiazepines work by enhancing the action of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that inhibits nerve activity in the brain. This leads to a calming effect on the nervous system, which helps reduce symptoms of anxiety, panic, and insomnia. Lorazepam has anxiolytic, sedative, and muscle-relaxant properties, making it effective for treating various anxiety-related conditions.
Dosage:
The typical dose for adults is 10 mg once daily or as prescribed by your doctor.
It should be taken with or without food.
The medication is usually taken at bedtime to treat insomnia, but the exact timing and dosage should be based on your healthcare provider’s instructions.
Administration:
Take ROZENON 10 MG orally as directed by your healthcare provider.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet as it may alter the way the medication is absorbed.
Interaction:
Alcohol: Avoid alcohol while using ROZENON 10 MG, as it can enhance the sedative effects of the medication and lead to excessive drowsiness, respiratory depression, or even coma.
Other sedatives or tranquilizers: Combining with other CNS depressants (e.g., alcohol, opioids) can increase the risk of severe side effects, including breathing problems or sedation.
Antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants: These may also interact with Lorazepam, intensifying its sedative effects.
Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications you're taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Lorazepam or any of its ingredients.
Severe respiratory issues, such as COPD or sleep apnea.
