Indications:

Pharmacology:
DOXIVA 200 MG contains doxycycline, a tetracycline class antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, preventing bacterial growth and replication.
Dosage:
Adults: Usually 100-200 mg daily, divided into one or two doses, or as prescribed
Take full prescribed course even if symptoms improve
Administration:
Oral intake with a full glass of water
Can be taken with or without food, though food may reduce stomach upset
Avoid lying down immediately after taking to prevent esophageal irritation
Interaction:
May interact with antacids, calcium, iron supplements—avoid simultaneous intake
Caution with blood thinners like warfarin
Contraindications:
Known allergy to tetracyclines
Children under 8 years old (risk of tooth discoloration)
