Indications:
IROBEST is indicated for the treatment and prevention of Iron, Folic Acid, and Zinc deficiencies, particularly during pregnancy, lactation, and in individuals with nutritional deficiencies.
Pharmacology:

Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex: A stable, non-ionic complex that allows controlled absorption of iron, minimizing gastrointestinal irritation.

Folic Acid: Essential for DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation; crucial during periods of rapid growth such as pregnancy.

Zinc Sulfate: Plays a vital role in immune function, enzyme activity, and protein synthesis.
Dosage:

Adults: One tablet daily. In severe cases, two tablets may be required per day or as directed by a physician.
Administration:
Take orally with or after meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Interaction:
Due to the non-ionic nature of Iron Polymaltose Complex, interactions with food components (e.g., phytates, oxalates, tannins) and other medications (e.g., tetracyclines, antacids) are unlikely.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Side Effects:
Generally well-tolerated. Rarely, gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea may occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy and lactation is recommended when there is a confirmed deficiency. As with all medications, consult a healthcare provider before use.
Precautions & Warnings:
Iron supplementation may cause dark coloration of stools, which is harmless. Use with caution in patients with conditions leading to iron overload.
