Indications:
SERVINAPROX 500 MG is used to treat mild to moderate pain, inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other musculoskeletal disorders.
Pharmacology:
Contains naproxen sodium, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis to relieve pain and inflammation.
Dosage:
Typical dose is 250-500 mg twice daily, or as prescribed by the physician. Dosage may vary based on condition severity.
Administration:
Take orally with food or milk to reduce gastrointestinal irritation. Swallow tablets whole with water.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, corticosteroids, other NSAIDs, antihypertensives, lithium, and methotrexate. Inform your doctor about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to naproxen or other NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer disease, and severe heart failure.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include gastrointestinal upset, nausea, heartburn, dizziness, headache, and rarely gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
