Indications:
TEGRETOL 200 MG is indicated for the treatment of partial and generalized seizures, trigeminal neuralgia, and bipolar affective disorder.
Pharmacology:
Contains carbamazepine, which works by stabilizing hyperexcited nerve membranes through sodium channel blockade, thereby preventing seizure spread.
Dosage:
Dosage depends on condition and patient response. Typically started at low doses and gradually increased. Follow physician's instructions.
Administration:
Take orally with water, preferably after meals to reduce gastric irritation.
Interaction:
Interacts with other anticonvulsants, MAO inhibitors, warfarin, and some antibiotics. Always inform your doctor about all medicines.
