Indications:
VOLTALIN 12.5 MG is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, inflammation, and fever, including headaches, dental pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and dysmenorrhea.
Pharmacology:
VOLTALIN contains diclofenac potassium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX), reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby alleviating inflammation, pain, and fever.
Dosage:
Typical adult dose: 12.5 mg to 25 mg every 6–8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 75 mg in 24 hours without medical supervision.
Administration:
Take orally with water. For best results, take with food to minimize gastrointestinal irritation.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, antihypertensives, corticosteroids, and other NSAIDs. Consult your physician before combining with other medications.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or NSAIDs
Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
Severe hepatic, renal, or cardiac insufficiency
History of asthma or allergic reactions to NSAIDs
Side Effects:
Common side effects: nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and dizziness. Serious but rare: GI bleeding, liver dysfunction, renal impairment.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy. Use during breastfeeding only if clearly necessary.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration
Monitor liver and kidney function in long-term use
Avoid alcohol and other NSAIDs
May increase risk of cardiovascular events in prolonged use
