Indications:
VASS 20 MG is indicated for management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable angina pectoris.
Pharmacology:
Contains amlodipine, which inhibits calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, causing vasodilation and reduced blood pressure.
Dosage:
Usual dose ranges from 5 mg to 20 mg once daily; dosing depends on patient’s clinical response and physician’s guidance.
Administration:
Oral administration with or without food, preferably at the same time daily.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, CYP3A4 inhibitors, and grapefruit juice. Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amlodipine or severe hypotension.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include peripheral edema, dizziness, headache, and flushing.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy; exercise caution during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
