Indications:
SINECOD SR 50 MG is indicated for symptomatic relief of dry, irritating cough caused by respiratory tract infections or other conditions.
Pharmacology:
Contains butamirate citrate, a non-opioid antitussive that acts centrally on the cough center in the brain to suppress cough reflex.
Dosage:
Typically, 1 tablet twice daily or as prescribed by the physician. Do not exceed recommended dose.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.
Interaction:
No significant drug interactions reported. Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to butamirate or any tablet component. Not recommended for productive cough.
Side Effects:
May cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, or allergic reactions in rare cases.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed during pregnancy. Caution advised during breastfeeding.
