Indications:
TEGRETOL 100 ML is indicated for treatment of epilepsy (partial and generalized seizures), trigeminal neuralgia, and bipolar disorder.
Pharmacology:
Contains carbamazepine, which stabilizes hyperactive nerve membranes by inhibiting sodium channels, reducing seizure activity.
Dosage:
Dosage varies by age and condition. Usually starts with low doses, gradually increased. Follow physician's instructions strictly.
Administration:
Take orally as prescribed. Shake well before use. Can be taken with or without food.
Interaction:
Interacts with other anticonvulsants, MAO inhibitors, anticoagulants, and some antibiotics. Inform your doctor about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to carbamazepine or history of bone marrow suppression.
Side Effects:
May cause dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, allergic skin reactions, and rarely blood disorders.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if benefits outweigh risks during pregnancy. Caution advised during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
