Indications:
VASS 10 MG is indicated for treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable angina.
Pharmacology:
Contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes vascular smooth muscles, leading to decreased blood pressure and improved coronary blood flow.
Dosage:
Typical starting dose is 5 mg once daily, may increase to 10 mg daily based on response and tolerance.
Administration:
Take orally once daily with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, CYP3A4 inhibitors, and grapefruit juice. Inform your doctor about all medicines you use.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with severe hypotension, cardiogenic shock, or known allergy to amlodipine.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include swelling (edema), dizziness, flushing, and palpitations.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Caution advised during breastfeeding.
