Description
Nafodil 100 mg Capsule contains Naftidrofuryl Oxalate, a peripheral vasodilator that helps improve blood circulation, particularly in conditions related to peripheral arterial disease. It is commonly prescribed to manage intermittent claudication (pain and cramping in the legs due to poor blood flow), rest pain in the legs, Raynaud's phenomenon (reduced blood flow to extremities), trophic ulcers, gangrene, and peripheral vascular disorders associated with diabetes. Nafodil works by enhancing cellular metabolism, increasing ATP production, and reducing lactic acid accumulation in ischemic tissues, ultimately improving blood flow. The typical dosage is 100–200 mg (one or two capsules) three times daily, taken with meals, and is usually recommended for a duration of at least three months. While effective, potential side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, and skin rash. In rare cases, liver damage can occur, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to a healthcare provider.
