Frabex 500 mg is a medication that contains Tranexamic Acid, an anti-fibrinolytic agent used to prevent or reduce excessive bleeding. It works by inhibiting the breakdown of fibrin, a key component of blood clots, thereby stabilizing clot formation and controlling bleeding. Frabex is commonly prescribed for conditions like heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), abnormal uterine bleeding, frequent nosebleeds, post-surgical bleeding, and trauma-related bleeding. It is also used to manage hereditary angioedema, which causes episodes of swelling.
