Indications:
TICAMET COZYCAP 250 mg is indicated for the prevention of thrombotic cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and stent thrombosis in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or a history of myocardial infarction.

Pharmacology:
Ticagrelor is a reversible oral P2Y12 receptor antagonist that inhibits platelet aggregation by blocking ADP-mediated activation of platelets, thereby reducing the risk of clot formation.

Dosage:

Initial dose: 180 mg loading dose (usually 2 capsules of 90 mg each)
Maintenance dose: 90 mg twice daily
Dosage may be adjusted by physician based on clinical condition.

Administration:
To be taken orally with water, with or without food. Must be taken regularly as prescribed to ensure effectiveness.

Interaction:
Use caution with aspirin, anticoagulants, NSAIDs, and other drugs increasing bleeding risk. Avoid strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding, history of intracranial hemorrhage, severe hepatic impairment, or hypersensitivity to Ticagrelor.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include bleeding, dyspnea, headache, dizziness, and gastrointestinal discomfort. Serious bleeding may occur.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Safety in lactation is not established; consult physician.

Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor for signs of bleeding, platelet counts, and liver function. Use cautiously in patients with risk factors for bleeding. Avoid abrupt discontinuation.
