Description
Butasiv® Pediatric Drops, produced by Jenphar Bangladesh Ltd., is a non-sedating antitussive medication formulated specifically for children. Each milliliter of the drops contains 5 mg of Butamirate Citrate, a centrally acting cough suppressant that works by directly inhibiting the cough reflex in the brain. Unlike opioid-based cough suppressants, Butamirate Citrate is chemically unrelated to opium alkaloids and does not cause sedation or respiratory depression. The pediatric formulation is designed to be safe and effective for young children, offering relief from dry, non-productive coughs associated with viral infections, acute respiratory tract infections (such as tracheitis, laryngitis, and bronchitis), whooping cough, and pre- or post-operative cough suppression
