Description
Rofecin 1 GM is an injectable antibiotic medication that contains ceftriaxone sodium, a third-generation cephalosporin. It is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, meningitis, and gonorrhea, among others. Rofecin works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, ultimately leading to the destruction of the bacteria. It is typically administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) and is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The dosage varies depending on the severity of the infection and the patient's condition, with typical doses ranging from 1 to 2 grams per day, given as a single or divided dose.
