Description
Pantium 20 MG is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) manufactured by Jenphar Bangladesh Ltd., containing 20 mg of pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate per gastro-resistant tablet. Pantoprazole works by irreversibly binding to the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme system (proton pump) on the surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby inhibiting the final step in gastric acid production. This results in a significant and prolonged reduction in gastric acid secretion, irrespective of the stimulus, with effects lasting over 24 hours.
