Description
Exium 40 mg Capsule, manufactured by Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd., contains Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production. Each enteric-coated capsule delivers 40 mg of Esomeprazole, which is the S-isomer of omeprazole and provides superior acid control compared to racemic PPIs. Esomeprazole works by irreversibly binding to the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, thereby inhibiting the final step of acid secretion.
