Description
Inbuten 400 mg Capsule is an oral antibiotic manufactured by Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd., containing Ceftibuten Dihydrate, a third-generation cephalosporin. It is indicated for the treatment of mild-to-moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of designated microorganisms. The recommended dosage is 400 mg orally every 24 hours for 10 days, with adjustments for pediatric and renal impairment cases. Common side effects may include nausea, headache, diarrhea, dyspepsia, dizziness, abdominal pain, and vomiting. Ceftibuten is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins. It should be used with caution in individuals with a history of gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis. Pregnancy Category B; use during pregnancy only when the benefit clearly outweighs the risk. Ceftibuten is not known to be excreted in human milk; caution should be exercised when administered to nursing women
