Prelica 25 mg is a prescription medication manufactured by Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh. Its active ingredient, pregabalin, is a structural derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter. Pregabalin binds with high affinity to the alpha2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system, modulating neurotransmitter release and reducing neuronal excitability. This mechanism of action contributes to its therapeutic effects in various neurological and pain-related conditions.
Prelica 25 mg is indicated for the management of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, and spinal cord injury. It is also approved as an adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in patients aged one month and older. Additionally, Prelica is used in the treatment of fibromyalgia, a condition characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues.
