Indications:
NEUCOS B is indicated in the treatment of:
Diabetic and alcoholic neuropathy
Neuralgia and neuritis
Peripheral neuropathy
General weakness due to Vitamin B deficiency
B-complex deficiency-related neurological symptoms
Pharmacology:
Thiamine (Vitamin B1): Vital for carbohydrate metabolism and neural conduction.
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6): Plays a role in amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter production, and immune function.
Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12): Essential for DNA synthesis, hematopoiesis, and maintenance of myelin sheath around nerves.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: 1 tablet daily or as prescribed by a physician.
To be taken with or after food to ensure better absorption and minimize gastric irritation.
Interaction:
Vitamin B6 may reduce the effectiveness of Levodopa when used without a decarboxylase inhibitor.
No major interactions at normal therapeutic doses.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to Thiamine, Pyridoxine, or Cyanocobalamin
Hereditary optic neuropathy (Leber’s disease)
Side Effects:
Usually well tolerated. Occasionally may cause:
Nausea, mild GI upset
Allergic rash
Long-term high doses of B6 may rarely cause sensory neuropathy
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safe in recommended doses. Should be taken under medical guidance during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Avoid overdose or prolonged use without medical supervision
Monitor if taking other neurotropic agents concurrently
Store safely out of children's reach
