Prelizer-HTZ 2.5/6.25 is a combination medication that contains Lisinopril (2.5 mg), an ACE inhibitor, and Hydrochlorothiazide (6.25 mg), a thiazide diuretic. This combination is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) more effectively than either drug alone. Lisinopril helps relax blood vessels by blocking the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart's workload. Hydrochlorothiazide promotes the elimination of excess salt and water through the kidneys, helping to decrease fluid retention and further lower blood pressure.
