Description
Dexochol 150 mg is a medication that contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid, a naturally occurring bile acid used to treat various liver and gallbladder conditions. It works by reducing the cholesterol saturation in bile, thereby helping to dissolve cholesterol gallstones. Additionally, it protects liver cells from bile acid-induced toxicity, stimulates bile flow, and reduces liver inflammation. Dexochol is commonly prescribed for conditions such as cholesterol gallstones, primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and certain types of hepatitis and fatty liver diseases. The usual dosage varies depending on the condition being treated, typically ranging from 8–15 mg/kg/day.
