Description
Sevitan 20 mg Tablet is an antihypertensive medication manufactured by Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It contains Olmesartan Medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively inhibits the AT₁ receptor. This action prevents the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, thereby lowering blood pressure. Sevitan is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. The usual starting dose is 20 mg once daily, which may be increased to 40 mg after 2 weeks if necessary. The tablet can be taken with or without food. Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
