Description
Renolog Tablet 600 mg is a nutritional supplement formulated with amino acid ketoanalogues and essential amino acids. It is indicated for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly those whose glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is less than 25 mL/min and who require a low-protein diet (≤40 grams/day). The tablet contains calcium salts of α-ketoanalogues of essential amino acids, including isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, valine, and methionine, along with L-lysine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan, L-histidine, and L-tyrosine. These components help maintain essential amino acid levels while minimizing nitrogen intake, thereby reducing urea formation and alleviating kidney strain. Renolog Tablet is typically administered 4–8 tablets three times daily during meals, as directed by a healthcare provider. It is essential to monitor serum calcium levels during treatment, as hypercalcemia is a rare but possible side effect. The tablet should be swallowed whole and not chewed.
