Description
Fixtat 20 mg Tablet contains Bilastine, a second-generation, non-sedating antihistamine used to alleviate symptoms associated with allergic conditions. It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhino-conjunctivitis (hay fever) and chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives). Bilastine selectively blocks peripheral H1 histamine receptors, effectively reducing symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the throat or nose. Unlike first-generation antihistamines, Bilastine does not cross the blood-brain barrier, minimizing the risk of sedation and drowsiness. The recommended dosage for adults and children aged 12 years and older is 20 mg once daily, taken on an empty stomach for optimal absorption. Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, and fatigue.
