Amloten 50 mg is a combination antihypertensive tablet manufactured by ACME Laboratories Ltd., containing 5 mg of Amlodipine Besilate and 50 mg of Atenolol per tablet. This formulation is designed to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of angina (chest pain).
Amlodipine Besilate is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart's workload. Atenolol is a beta-blocker that reduces the heart rate and the force of contraction, leading to a decrease in blood pressure and a reduction in chest pain episodes.
