Description
Permin 30 gm Cream is a topical antiparasitic medication manufactured by ACME Laboratories Ltd., containing Permethrin 5%, a synthetic pyrethroid. It is primarily used for the treatment of scabies and pediculosis (lice infestations).
Mechanism of Action:
Permethrin acts on the nerve cell membranes of parasites, disrupting the sodium channel current, leading to delayed repolarization and paralysis of the pests.

Dosage & Administration:

Adults and children over 12 years: Apply up to one full 30 gm tube.

Children aged 6–12 years: Up to half of a 30 gm tube.

Children aged 1–5 years: Up to a quarter of a 30 gm tube.

Children aged 2 months to 1 year: Up to one-eighth of a 30 gm tube.
Before application, ensure the skin is clean, cool, and dry. Apply the cream to the entire body from the neck down, including all skin surfaces such as between fingers and toes, under nails, and on the soles of the feet. Leave the cream on for 8–14 hours before washing off. Reapply to any area that may be washed during the treatment period.
Side Effects:
Some individuals may experience mild burning, stinging, or tingling sensations shortly after application. Other transient signs and symptoms of irritation, including erythema, edema, eczema, rash, and pruritus, may occur.
Precautions:

Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
