Dulox 30 mg is indicated for:
Major depressive disorder (MDD)
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain
Fibromyalgia
Chronic musculoskeletal pain (e.g., back pain, osteoarthritis)
Duloxetine is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It increases the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the central nervous system, helping improve mood and reduce pain signals.
Depression & anxiety: Start with 30 mg once daily; may increase to 60 mg/day
Neuropathic pain/fibromyalgia: 30–60 mg/day as per physician’s recommendation
Dose adjustments required in liver/kidney impairment
Take orally, with or without food. Swallow capsule whole; do not crush or chew.
Avoid use with MAO inhibitors
Caution with SSRIs, antiplatelets, anticoagulants (risk of bleeding)
Interaction possible with CYP1A2 and CYP2D6 inhibitors
Hypersensitivity to Duloxetine
Concurrent use with MAOIs
Uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma
Severe hepatic or renal impairment
Nausea
Dry mouth
Drowsiness or insomnia
Dizziness
Constipation
Increased sweating
Rare: suicidal thoughts in adolescents/young adults
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy
Not recommended during breastfeeding without medical advice
Monitor for worsening depression or suicidal behavior, especially at therapy initiation
Risk of serotonin syndrome if combined with serotonergic drugs
Taper dose gradually when discontinuing
Use with caution in patients with seizure disorders, bipolar disorder, or hypertension
