Description
Fecilax 100g is an herbal effervescent powder formulated to alleviate constipation and promote regular bowel movements. Each 5.38 g serving contains 3.5 g of psyllium fiber and 7.5 mg of standardized senna extract. Psyllium is a bulk-forming laxative that absorbs water to soften stool, while senna acts as a stimulant laxative, stimulating bowel muscles to facilitate bowel movements. This combination is particularly beneficial for individuals with hemorrhoids, those on bed rest, or those recovering from rectal surgery, as it helps reduce strain during defecation. Fecilax should be taken with at least 150 ml of water, preferably at night, and not within 30 minutes to 1 hour of other medications. Prolonged use beyond two weeks requires medical supervision. It is contraindicated in children under 12 years old and individuals with gastrointestinal obstructions or inflammatory bowel diseases. Common side effects may include allergic reactions and electrolyte imbalances, which typically resolve upon discontinuation. For optimal results, Fecilax should be stored in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture.
