Description
Famiclav 70 ml Suspension is a combination antibiotic containing Cefuroxime Axetil (125 mg) and Clavulanic Acid (31.25 mg) per 5 ml of reconstituted suspension. Cefuroxime is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects Cefuroxime from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by certain bacteria, thereby extending its spectrum of activity.
