Bihale 100 Rotacap is a combination dry powder inhaler (DPI) developed by ACME Laboratories Ltd., designed for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults aged 18 years and older. Each capsule contains 25 mcg of Vilanterol Trifenatate (a long-acting beta-2 agonist or LABA) and 100 mcg of Fluticasone Furoate (a corticosteroid). Vilanterol works by relaxing bronchial smooth muscles, leading to bronchodilation, while Fluticasone Furoate reduces inflammation in the airways. This combination helps in improving lung function and reducing exacerbations associated with asthma and COPD. It is important to note that Bihale Rotacap is not intended for the immediate relief of acute bronchospasm. Patients should use a separate short-acting bronchodilator for sudden breathing difficulties. Proper inhalation technique is crucial for the effectiveness of the medication. After inhalation, it is recommended to rinse the mouth with water without swallowing to reduce the risk of oral candidiasis. The medication should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
