Description
Salmolin-L Syrup is a bronchodilator medication used to relieve symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains Levosalbutamol, a single isomer beta-2 agonist that selectively stimulates beta-2 adrenergic receptors in bronchial smooth muscles, leading to their relaxation and subsequent bronchodilation. This action helps to alleviate symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing.
Compared to racemic salbutamol, Levosalbutamol offers clinically comparable bronchodilation with potentially fewer beta-mediated side effects.
