Dexagen 3 gm contains Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate, a synthetic corticosteroid that:

Reduces edema and capillary permeability
Inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes
Adults: The dosage varies depending on the specific condition being treated. Typically, 0.05 to 0.2 mg/kg body weight per day, administered intravenously or intramuscularly.
Children: Dosage should be determined by a healthcare provider based on the child's weight and condition.
Intravenous (IV) Injection: Administer slowly over several minutes.
Intramuscular (IM) Injection: Inject deeply into a large muscle mass.
Dosage Adjustment: Adjust the dosage based on the patient's response and the severity of the condition.
May interact with other corticosteroids, leading to an increased risk of side effects.
Concurrent use with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.

Lactation: Use with caution during breastfeeding. Dexamethasone is excreted in breast milk; therefore, a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
