Indications:
MIRABEG 25 MG is indicated for treatment of overactive bladder syndrome characterized by urgency, frequency, and urge urinary incontinence.
Pharmacology:
Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist that relaxes detrusor muscle during the storage phase of the bladder fill-void cycle, increasing bladder capacity.
Dosage:
The usual starting dose is 25 mg once daily, which may be increased to 50 mg daily based on efficacy and tolerability.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food at the same time each day.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 enzyme, digoxin, and other antihypertensive agents. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:
Severe uncontrolled hypertension, hypersensitivity to mirabegron, end-stage renal disease or severe hepatic impairment.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include hypertension, headache, nasopharyngitis, urinary tract infection, and dizziness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed. Consult your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
