Indications:MITRAZINE 15 MG is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder and related mood disorders.
Pharmacology:Mirtazapine acts by antagonizing central presynaptic alpha-2 adrenergic inhibitory autoreceptors and heteroreceptors, resulting in increased release of norepinephrine and serotonin.
Dosage:Typical starting dose is 15 mg once daily at bedtime. Dose may be adjusted by the physician based on response.
Administration:Take orally, preferably at bedtime to reduce daytime sedation.
Interaction:May interact with MAO inhibitors, SSRIs, CNS depressants, and alcohol. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to mirtazapine, use with MAO inhibitors within 14 days.
Side Effects:Common side effects include drowsiness, increased appetite, weight gain, dry mouth, and dizziness.
