Description

• রেজিস্টার্ড চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ মোতাবেক ঔষধ সেবন করুন।
Gored 80 mg is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise, and weight loss alone do not provide adequate blood sugar control.

Pharmacology:
Gliclazide, the active ingredient in Gored 80 mg, is a second-generation sulfonylurea antidiabetic agent. It works by stimulating insulin release from pancreatic beta-cells, enhancing insulin sensitivity at peripheral target sites, and decreasing hepatic glucose production. Additionally, it has antioxidant properties and may reduce microthrombosis by partially inhibiting platelet aggregation and adhesion, and by restoring fibrinolysis via increased tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) activity.

Dosage:

  • Adults:

    • Initial Dose: 40–80 mg daily, taken before meals.

    • Maintenance Dose: Up to 320 mg daily, divided into 2 doses if necessary.

  • Modified Release (MR) Tablets:

    • Initial Dose: 30 mg once daily, may increase in increments of 30 mg up to a maximum of 120 mg daily, with at least a 1-month interval between dose adjustments.

Administration:
