DOREL 75 MG is indicated for the prevention of atherothrombotic events in patients with recent myocardial infarction, stroke, or established peripheral arterial disease. It is also used to prevent clot formation after certain heart procedures.
Pharmacology:
Clopidogrel is a platelet aggregation inhibitor that irreversibly blocks the P2Y12 component of ADP receptors on platelet surfaces, preventing platelet activation and clot formation.
Dosage:
Typically, 75 mg once daily, with or without food, or as directed by the physician.
Administration:
Take orally with a glass of water, with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, NSAIDs, and certain proton pump inhibitors. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:
Not recommended in patients with active pathological bleeding such as peptic ulcer or intracranial hemorrhage, or known hypersensitivity to clopidogrel.
