Indications:
Entafi is indicated for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. It helps in reducing the size of the prostate and improving urinary flow.

Pharmacology:

Finasteride: An inhibitor of steroid Type II 5α-reductase, reducing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), leading to decreased prostate size.
Tadalafil: A selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, improving urinary flow.

Dosage:

Adults: One capsule daily, taken approximately at the same time each day. It is advised to take this on an empty stomach.
Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness have not been established in patients under 18 years of age.
Geriatric Use: No overall differences in safety or effectiveness observed in patients 65 years and older.
Hepatic Impairment: Use with caution in patients with moderately impaired hepatic function. Not recommended for severely impaired hepatic function.
Renal Impairment: Not recommended for patients with creatinine clearance less than 50 mL/min or undergoing hemodialysis.

Administration:
Take one capsule daily, preferably on an empty stomach, at the same time each day.

Interaction:

Nitrates: Contraindicated when used with any form of organic nitrate due to potential hypotensive effects.
Alpha-Blockers: Caution is advised when co-administered with alpha-blockers; discontinuation of alpha-blockers is recommended at least one day prior to starting Entafi.
Antihypertensives: PDE5 inhibitors, including tadalafil, are mild systemic vasodilators; small reductions in blood pressure may occur when co-administered with antihypertensive agents.
Alcohol: Substantial consumption may increase the potential for orthostatic signs and symptoms, including dizziness and headache.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to finasteride, tadalafil, or any component of the formulation.
Severe liver disease (oral form).
Pregnancy and lactation.
Concurrent use with nitrates or guanylate cyclase stimulators.

Side Effects:

Common: Headache, dizziness, flushing, nasal congestion, back pain, dyspepsia, myalgia, limb pain.
Serious: Prolonged erection (priapism), hypotension, visual disturbances, hearing loss.
