Indications:
VORTON 10 MG is indicated for the relief of nausea and vomiting caused by various conditions, including gastrointestinal motility disorders.
Pharmacology:
Domperidone is a dopamine antagonist that works by blocking dopamine receptors in the gut, enhancing gastric emptying and motility.
Dosage:
Typical adult dose is 10 mg taken three times daily before meals, or as directed by a physician.
Administration:
Take orally with a glass of water before food. Follow the prescribed dosage schedule carefully.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs that prolong QT interval or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to domperidone, prolactinoma, or gastrointestinal hemorrhage.
