Indications:
LOTEFLAM T 5 ML is indicated for relief of localized pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, muscle strains, sprains, and soft tissue injuries.

Pharmacology:
Diclofenac sodium inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), decreasing prostaglandin synthesis which reduces inflammation and pain locally.

Dosage:
Apply a thin layer of gel 2-3 times daily to the affected area. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and broken skin.

Administration:
Apply topically and gently rub into the skin over the affected area. Wash hands after application unless hands are the treatment site.

Interaction:
Minimal systemic absorption reduces drug interactions. Avoid concomitant use with other topical NSAIDs.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other NSAIDs, broken or infected skin at application site.

Side Effects:
Possible side effects include local skin irritation, redness, itching, or rash. Discontinue use if severe skin reactions occur.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding; consult a doctor before use.

Therapeutic Class:
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), topical formulation.
