Indications:
REGULOSE is indicated for prevention and treatment of dehydration resulting from acute diarrhea, vomiting, or heat exhaustion.
Pharmacology:
REGULOSE is an oral rehydration salt solution containing glucose and electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride). It facilitates absorption of water and electrolytes from the intestines, helping restore fluid and electrolyte balance.
Dosage:
Adults and children: Dose varies depending on severity of dehydration. Usually, drink as much as required to replace lost fluids. Follow package instructions or physician’s advice.
Administration:
Administer orally by dissolving the contents in clean water before consumption. Drink slowly over the course of illness.
Interaction:
No significant drug interactions are known. Use cautiously with other oral medications.
Contraindications:
Not recommended in patients with severe hypernatremia or those unable to drink fluids orally.
Side Effects:
Generally safe; rarely may cause mild bloating or nausea.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safe to use during pregnancy and lactation under medical supervision.
