Indications:
VIPTIN PLUS is indicated for seizure control in epilepsy patients and to relieve mild to moderate pain or fever.
Pharmacology:
Valproic acid stabilizes brain electrical activity by increasing GABA levels, preventing seizures. Paracetamol works centrally to reduce pain and fever by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis.
Dosage:
Dosage of valproic acid and paracetamol is based on physician’s prescription, considering patient condition.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food as directed. Do not exceed recommended dose. Swallow tablets whole.
Interaction:
May interact with other anticonvulsants, analgesics, and CNS depressants. Inform healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with liver disease, hypersensitivity to valproic acid or paracetamol.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include nausea, dizziness, liver toxicity, allergic reactions, and rare skin rashes.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding; consult a doctor.
