Indications:
UROLOSIN D 0.4/0.5 is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms, improving urine flow and reducing prostate volume.

Pharmacology:
Tamsulosin is an alpha-1 blocker that relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), leading to prostate shrinkage.

Dosage:
Typically, one capsule containing 0.4 mg tamsulosin and 0.5 mg dutasteride is taken once daily, preferably after the same meal.

Administration:
Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush or chew. Take consistently after the same meal daily.

Interaction:
May interact with antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, and drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 enzymes. Inform your doctor about all medicines.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients allergic to tamsulosin, dutasteride, or similar compounds.

Side Effects:
Side effects may include dizziness, headache, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders, and breast tenderness. Report severe or persistent side effects.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not indicated for women. Avoid handling capsules if pregnant or breastfeeding women are nearby due to dutasteride’s effects.
